BIP measures injector response time. The injector sits in the clamp fixture for its family, the sensor probe touches the nozzle, and the box records the delay between the drive pulse and the needle response.
The same box covers common rail, HEUI and EUI and EUP injectors once the matching fixture is fitted, and the trace is read on the PC over USB. A slow or sticky injector then shows up as a number instead of a guess.
